2024 - There was a problem...
The drink mix that didn’t exist — so we made it.
No additives. Easy on the gut. Science-driven. The “perfect” drink mix for real trail miles.
We wanted a drink mix that — depending on how you mix it — works both as an isotonic drink and as a high-carb fuel drink: fast energy, a calm stomach, no flavours, no additives, vegan, non-GMO… but with real fruit from natural fruit juice extracts — the “perfect” drink mix.
We wanted something that tastes light, natural, and subtle — so you can still drink it easily even in the final third of a race.
And that’s how the journey started… We tested everything, questioned every formula, sourced ingredients from all across Europe — and kept optimising until “pretty good” became a drink that won’t let you down, even after 50 km on the trail.
2025 – From idea to brand. From tests to trust.
Overwhelming product feedback
In February 2025, we — Jakob (Founder & Managing Director) and Martin (Head of Production & Pharmacist) — founded Pacemaker Nutrition, and Pacemaker is now officially registered as a trademark.
At the Zugspitz Ultratrail in June 2025, we showcased the Pacemaker Pro Drink Mix for the very first time — and the feedback was overwhelming. What people praise most often: how well it’s tolerated.
What made us especially proud: the first trail race wins came quickly, because several top runners switched to Pacemaker — and started winning with it.
2026 – Now it's getting big: webshop, athletes, new products.
Pacemaker is becoming the trail running brand for quality & performance.
In January 2026, we have launched our own webshop — bringing Pacemaker directly to the community.
2026 is all about full focus on trail running.
At the same time, we’re building an athlete team, including Hannes Namberger — Germany’s most successful trail runner.
And we’re continuing to scale up our production in Munich — because this is the only way we can truly control quality and fair pricing.

Word on the trail is we’re working hard on new flavours and completely new products: gels, a recovery drink, an electrolyte drink — and more.
All built on the same philosophy: 100% performance, 0% bullsh*t. Only what truly needs to be in there, in top quality, with zero compromises.
Our vision: Pacemaker should be the brand where you don’t just hope your fueling works — you plan it and execute it: clean, gut-friendly, and performance-driven.
